WEATHER and TRAFFIC announcement:

-  I-70 is closed between Federal and I-25, which is direct route between DIA and Keystone.  The suggested alternative is I-76.  Please expect delays.   There are blasting activities on I-70 near Idaho Springs that can slow down traffic from Denver to Keystone.  A tunnel is being widened and the traffic is sometimes stopped for a half an hour a couple times a day.  Updated information can be found at http://twintunneltraffic.com

-  Please note that Keystone, Colorado's base elevation is over 9,200 feet (2,830 m).  Mountain weather can change quickly.  The average temperatures at this time of year in Keystone: highs in the upper 70s and low 80s, with nighttime lows dipping into the 30s and 40s.  The high altitude also means more wind and more direct sun than weather forecasts call for in Denver.  Please check www.weather.com or www.accuweather.com for up-to-date Keystone weather forecasts.

A Note of Caution:  Attendees are cautioned that Keystone resort is at a rather high elevation (9300 feet or 2800m) and that some guests may experience difficulties at first with the altitude.  In order to avoid experiencing "mountain sickness" guests are encouraged to limit their physical exertion for the first day or two and to drink plenty of water.  For some guests, the consumption of alcoholic beverages may aggravate these effects.  For more information, please visit: http://www.summitcove.com/keystone-colorado-travel-info/

ACCGE-19 will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of recent research and development activities in all aspects of epitaxial thin film and bulk crystal growth; sessions will integrate fundamentals, experimental and industrial growth processes, characterization and applications. The conference will include both oral and poster sessions as well as plenary and invited speakers to provide a broad picture of developments in the field.

The OMVPE-16 workshop continues a tradition, started at Cornell in 1983, of bringing together specialists in the OMVPE field from industry, academia and government laboratories in an informal atmosphere and scenic surroundings. The workshop is an excellent opportunity to present and discuss new results in the OMVPE field. It also provides a venue for newcomers to the field to familiarize themselves with OMVPE science and technology.

Focused sessions will be organized based upon the topical distribution of papers. Contributed papers are requested in all relevant areas for all meetings.

A combined ACCGE/OMVPE vendor exhibit will showcase the latest in crystal growth and related products. A single registration fee will give attendees access to both meetings.
